That’s why our course offers a foundational and advanced approach, ensuring you’re confident in both day-to-day support and emergency situations.

Advanced Diabetes Workshop Topics:

  • Diabetes basics and implications in care
  • Recognizing and managing hypoglycaemia & hyperglycaemia
  • Blood sugar monitoring, sliding scale, and documentation
  • Types of insulin and administration techniques
  • Calculating doses and administering subcutaneous injections
  • First aid for unstable sugar levels and emergency protocols
  • Lifestyle adjustments, risk assessments, and care plans
